Hi Jck910! I think the rugs you suggested are beautiful. I like the middle one the most. I think the others are not quite my taste. However, I am very curious to see if it meshes well with the taupe sofas and blue accent chairs.

After much thought I went with a table I saw in a model home to go with the chairs and sofa I have at this point. Table is 60x60 and works well in this big family room. My light fixture is a silver light (to be added soon), no ceiling fan in this room. Here is the room in development, need end tables, rug and lamps, shutters are on their way. Open concept showing kitchen and nook as well. Love all your suggestions and any other ideas are very helpful.... Will add in some Grey and one other minor color??????? Suggestions?

The sofa/loveseat looks very alone on the wall. What is on the other wall parallel to the small sofa? If there is room, I would move it there and make a tighter seating arrangement and keep both sofas front legs on the rug. Any chance you might be able to pull the sofas away from the wall? I would add side tables and lamps. I would try this before settling on a coffee table.

You don’t have a lot of room, so I suggest a “sit on” poof. I like this one with black and white and the handle in the color of your dining table. Get a round tray so it can do double duty. Would you consider replacing the shelf near the table? Something black to work with the new black chairs? (yellow in art work to work with the yellow pillows on sofa).
