Living Room Decor Ideas Needed
Comments (35)Gabriella, a history of your comments shows that you're mostly interested in promoting the replica MCM chairs and sideboards sold at a NYC furniture store. You wouldn't happen to work there or own the store, or be friends or partners (personally or professionally) with someone who is, would you? Also, there have been more than a dozen BBB complaints in the past three years about the store you've been recommending, which I would find problematic if I were looking to buy something there. If you're trying to do native advertising/produce placement, you have to be less clunky and obvious about it. For example, not suggesting MCM furniture when the OP states a preference for farmhouse style....See MoreLooking for living room decor ideas
Comments (3)What a cool space! I love built-in shelves/spaces like that. One of these days... Well, shelves are the obvious choice, for your books and other decorative items as well as a place to put things like cable boxes/gaming systems/routers. You could do some as cube shelves, you know, like these: (I don't mean that you would actually stick a shelving unit in there, I mean you could do that style of shelves.) You don't say how deep the cavities are, which does affect/limit the amount and type of stuff you could put there. Family photos would be nice, too; maybe get one blown up to fill about half the space, and then a shelf beneath it with a few more pictures? Something like this could go in one or more of the spaces: Really, it's about what items you want near you, and want to look at every day, as well as about the style and look of the rest of the room. It's difficult to say, "Put these modern-looking shelves and decor," in there if you are going for a country/traditional type of look, you know? You could also consider putting doors over some of the shelves, which would break up the spaces a bit and add some interest/decor all on their own. Glass doors with interesting frames, wood doors with cool pulls or detail work, that sort of thing. Here's a nice room where they've put in similar shelves to the ones above, and they have the colored background, too: If you collect anything, that might be a good place to display it? What style are you going for, what things do you like? I hope that's at least some help! I'm sure if you tell us what types of things you like and what the look of the rest of the room is--what kind of look you're going for--then others will have more suggestions for you....See MoreLarge Living room decor ideas???
Comments (8)I think that gallery wall does look good and is a good size, It adds weight to that side of the room with the fantastic fireplace on the other side. You don't like it so replace it with a tapestry or large painting of the same dimensions. The twin Chinoiserie tables would be fine a little closer together under the tapestry/art as a pair of pedestals for matching large dramatic urns. The small trunk and small bookcase don't work in the room. The floral armchairs look good where they are in the second photo with backs to tapestry....See MoreLiving Room Decor ideas, how to fill in corner, curtain colors??
Comments (8)Thanks for the ideas. We are renting so I don’t think we are allowed to paint the walls the rental company and owners seems pretty strict about things so far. Let alone we prob wouldn’t spend the time doing it since it’s not our forever home. I def like the gallery wall idea. Not sure if want to do around the tv or on the wall across from it with an entry table 🤔 prob will stick with adding Curtains with pop of color and other room decor...See MoreCelery.
