I feel your pain. I agonized over each appliance for my upcoming reno. I overthought every detail and found the web a useful source of information overload. I started to feel like I would have a multitude of problems with every one of my appliances. Even though I've never had any problems with any appliance in any house that I've moved into - I never chose those appliances but mostly they worked. Except for microwaves as has already been mentioned ... I just assume I'll be buying a new one of those every few years! It was paralyzing to the point I wasn't sure I could buy anything within my budget. At the end of the day I finally just decided to make the best decision I could and not look back, looking at the balance of function, budget and form then hope for the best. Most likely they will all work they way they are supposed to. If not, I won't be kicking myself that I "should've listened to all those negative reviews" because if that were the case I wouldn't have been able to buy anything at all! I tried to remember this wasn't a lifetime commitment, and though I can hope for long life for each appliance I can probably only expect somewhere in the vicinity of 10 years (or less) for them. That helped me get through the decision fatigue. I agree with the others who say take each negative review with a grain of salt after ignoring the ones that are obviously just someone hard to please ... like: it made my house smell when I used the self cleaning mode. Duh what were you expecting!. If you find something frequently problematic consider if this would be a deal breaker for you in the (still unlikely) event that this happened to your appliance, then consider buying the extended warranty if it helps your peace of mind. I think when combining electronics with extreme heat or extreme cold or extreme humidity (ie fridges, freezers, ovens, cooktops, dishwashers!) the potential for electronic failure may make purchasing an extended warranty a good idea. Then make the best decision you can with your budget and hope for the best! Good luck with your purchases!

When I first heard of these things a few years ago, I imagined myriad mini induction coils driven by myriad generator circuits costing myriad currency units. However, the truth is out there, and at least one system is less complex than I imagined. (The photo below is reportedly a Bosch with the glass removed.) kas

Holly-kay: My face feels great after using it. If your skin is stinging with night cream, I would agree with the logic that it could be from the spinning (I'm certainly not an expert, but it makes sense). I'll sound like a commercial for Clarisonic, but I guess it shows how happy I am with the product. Why not get it to see if it works better than your current device? I've seen first hand that they have a generous return policy if you don't see an improvement. Like I said above, I returned to Ulta after a few weeks. The guarantee is 90-days, but that is through Clarisonic. When I called Clarisonic they said returns to them could take 6-8 weeks for a credit (and they suggested returning to Ulta first since it was within 30 days).

Do NOT buy the Bertazonni. I bought the 36" professional stove in February 2015. I must admit that I was looking for a professional style stove at a bargain price for my 2nd home. Bertazonni was most definitely less expensive--but with this stove you get what you pay for. The burners are very temperamental, Even after you get the hang of lighting them, it's a crap shoot as to whether or not they catch on. The stove is even worse. The oven knobs are difficult to turn to the on position, and there is no way of knowing if the stove is really lit without opening the door and looking for a flame. There is no temp gauge, and the oven has significant hot and cold spots that make baking extremely uneven. Last but not least, the stainless cooktop is poor quality, easily stained and impossible to clean--no matter what kind of stainless cleaner or soft cloth you use. My suggestion is spend a lot less or dig into your pocket for another $1000 and get a Wolf, Blue Star or Capital.
