Hard to tell for sure but that looks like drips of sealer that didn't soak in, perhaps because the entire coat was fairly dry so it just sat on top. It will fade away with traffic and weather, the question is how long it will take. I don't know the answer to that one. The alternative is to try removing it with a pressure washer or some other method. You could just park the car over it. :-D

We used exposed aggregate concrete with natural flagstones scattered through it for our pool decking. The problem is that too much concrete was taken off in many places, making the deck very rough. It feels like you are walking on gravel, and it is almost impossible to walk barefooted on it. We thought it might even out some when it was sealed, but it didn't. So we need to find a fix. I talked with someone from Increte products (he has not be out to the house yet), and they have a spray on product that will basically cover up the aggregate, but it will not bond to the flagstone. Also, he says they will have to do some type of blasting to the surface to get the sealer off, hopefully leaving a good surace to bond the new product. I also am worried about too much thickness in another surface which will affect drainage around the pool. I would really like some sort of clear product that would leave the look of the aggregate, but fill in the deeper places. Does anyone have any experience with something like this or have any ideas? We have already had a large chunk of this jackhammered up and repoured, but it didn't look much better. Help!

...Cherry tends to blotch too. It also darkens over time so a perfect match today will be obviuosly too dark next month. Also, the doors are the most expensive part of a cabinet, so replacing those may not be feesible. I can't beleive they didn't use wood conditioner. Wow. Anyways, you will be best off trying to work with what you have. Sanding the finish back to bare wood/almost bare wood may be possible, but not very much fun. One could then apply wood conditioner and then re-apply color for a much more even finish. Adding more color on top of what's there in the form of a dye (like Transtint) dissolved in a clear topcoat to help camoflauge the splotches. If possible, I'd try to sand back the bad color job and try again. Good luck.

Parents had a slab done, not stamped however. They wanted a brownish/ rusty kind of color. Color was added to cement mix, not applied color. It looked pinkish after it was poured. Cement guy said it will darken up after sealant. Had to wait to seal the next summer. A clear sealer made it much darker and pretty much the color they were hoping for. We were actually quite surprised, really didn't believe the cement guys that the color would change so much. Talk to your contractor. But the texture does look off possibly. It's really quite a art to get it right. FYI, have seen alot of fancy custom concrete over the past 10 years or so, at a association my parents belong to, at least 30 custom concrete slabs. New association started 15 years ago. Some of it pretty amazing work, some not. Rumor was one guy paid about $8,000 for his 36' x 8' concrete work, looked like wide plank wood boards. One poor guy ended up with a poor job. It was poured and stamped on a really hot day (around 100). Concrete was setting up too fast (also didn't wet down the surface it was being poured on) wasn't floated properly, was setting up when trying to stamp. It was done by inexperienced guys (owner always tried to get cheapest bid) He was too cheap to have it done over by experienced guys. Basically negotiated with concrete guys afterwards and paid hardly anything.
