Stewartia in NEK

Among the many exciting things going on with my garden from seed project is this Stewartia pseudocamellia that survived its first NEK winter last year and is growing under its own power. (The irrigation system was left off in the meadow until I recently started planting new additions.)

Nice! Hope it continues to grow well! i have a Stewartia pseudocamelia koreana that I chose because it is supposed to be a bit extra hardy for my border z5a-4b garden. It has been in place for something like 10 years and seems to be doing quite well.

Thanks NHBabs :) In hopes that I'll get at least a breeding pair, I ordered 20, let them sit in pots over the winter (unprotected) and planted the best 7 (in line with the one above) in a row at the bottom of a rolling hill just recently.
