Comments (9)Very nice, Publickman! And inspiring! But most of my tillandisas spend the late Spring through the summer in my north-facing porch. The sun is bright at this altitude (around 5,000 feet here in the Rio Grande Valley). But they'll all be coming in to roost under grow lights or in a shaded, south-facing window as soon as the nights cool down consistently into the 50s (and the nights will get colder after that). We do get below freezing frequently, with wind and sometimes snow, too, so none of the plants would survive that....See MoreYour favorite gardening videos on YouTube
Comments (7)Whoo Hoo, I've been saving my pennies so I just ordered English Cottage and Country Gardens from across the pond. Apparently it plays in all regions soooo hopefully it will be as good as the other gardening dvd's I've ordered from the UK. Comments (21)Right now he's getting Purina Kitten food. But I would like to find a healthier food with less fillings in it. I know it's more expensive, but when there is less filling, they eat less so the food really isn't more money. It's better for their tummies too. I'm going to check out PetSmart for that. I know if you use the cheaper foods with all the fillers, cats stand a bigger chance of becoming diabetic. I told my husband also, to only give him a FEW treats a day, not a handful like he did with our other two cats. We have a rubber shoe mat that we used with our other cats to put under the litter box. But the litter still ends up all over the place. Silly cat likes to lay in his box. LOL I'll post pictures from my phone in a bit....See MoreMoving to Zone 5a: Which Roses do you Recommend?
Comments (9)Wow everyone thank you so much for the suggestions. If worse comes to worse in regards to overwintering in pots, I am willing to rent out those garage spaces that apartments have! We could fit one of the tiny cars in it, too. It’ll only be for the winter months anyways! I do have pot bottoms that roll (though I’ve broken so many wooden ones so I will get new iron ones when I move up). Moving them shouldn’t be too hard. From what everyone is saying, it looks like there is a fair shot of my potted Austins being able to survive! Thank you guys so much for your input! :) Before investing in more I want to work with my current children! LOL I absolutely love this rose forum and how fast and helpful everyone is!! If I could post a bajillion heart emojis, I would! Heart heart heart!!!!!...See Moregumneck 7A Virginia
