Hard to tell from the small pic, but it looks lovely and interesting to me. I suspect if you are buying the home, there are going to be a lot more pressing issues to deal with than shutter color.

I think I would like to split up the wall creating a top border at least 18" left as is. Then I'd like a reddish warmer color to the lower portion of the wall of bricks. (usual standard red brick color). I think it needs to be broken up with contrast colors. It will ground the home and bring some life to the neutrals. This will break up the height covering so much of the lower half of the home. Or..maybe BETTER yet.... .. remove 12" H in rows of brick, off the top and replace with a 'deeper depth' wood facing (compared to brick depth) .... to create a band of color above the lower brick. Maybe match the wood facing with the vinyl beige or a contrast color for the wood trim added ..... to create a larger space above the brick. Lower brick in a natural red brick color. The windows will not feel so cramped above the brick top edge if you match the beige vinyl color.. I think it will fool the eye. This will give you a needed dimension to a rather flat facade of the home. Adds some architecture and a visual interest.

Hi CW, you did a great Job suggested the color for nmatela, looks great, is any one can suggested me what color vinyl siding and what type trim, the current plane is replace all the window to be white with white wrap boarder. white gutters but not sure about other color. help. MR.

On the Gentek website the Midnight Surf sample is shown in sequence with their other blue colors, so I think you are probably right in seeing it as blue. Windswept Smoke does look a little khaki or maybe greenish, although it seems to be in a sequence with neutral grays. If you haven’t already, you need to take the samples out in daylight and compare them to colors you aren’t changing. If you have a leftover shingle from your roof or can get a sample of it that would be one in particular to check. On my screen Hudson Slate looks like a neutral gray maybe leaning a little brown. You didn’t say which line of Gentek you’re getting, so I’m looking at Sequoia Select because it was at the top of the page. :) I know siding companies don’t always make all their lines in the same colors. Two bits of opinionated advice...feel free to ignore: 1. Gray and brown is a combination that is going to be hard to get right. You may have to go to more of a real color (dark green? rustic red?) to get something that will work with both your veranda and your roof. If you’re determined to have gray you should have your siding guy bring you all the gray chips, check them all against your roof and veranda, and then have him bring a whole board of your final selection to be sure. We did this last year when we had our house resided in dark navy and I was so glad we checked everything because the little chips inside the house never look quite like the whole house will look out in natural light. 2. Your house has simple attractive lines and a few Craftsman details will be a tasteful addition without making it look like you’re trying too hard. But there’s no good place for fake stone by the entryway and it won’t turn your nice classic farmhouse porch into a Craftsman porch. Plus it will add one more color element to coordinate with your siding.
