Thanks Kabergs for posting the picture. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you but I have had to study for my midterm and had other homework to get done... but that's another story! I love your wts - they have the colors I like in them and you are right, they look close to the color of my chairs. I received the sample pot and painted a poster board size of the ashen green along with splotches of both greens around the rooms. I still like the ashen better but DH likes the EG!! I scheduled a call with EK for Monday so she will have to break the tie. My hesitation about the EG is that it is too muddy at night and that's when I would be entertaining and seeing it the most. For some reason the blue in the Ashen calls to me. I know it's hard to get a true picture of the colors but here are some pics anyway. Oh, btw, I did look at the sample fabric that I sent to Ellen - I pulled some threads and there are BLUE threads in that fabric so that's why it casts such a blue color!! Next to the drapes at night with lights on. Next to the weird chair!! Either way, the decision will be made this week!!

Yeah I totally agree that we want to get it right the first time. And I can't do painting anymore, it's too hard on my body and I'm no spring chicken either. I have a painter that will do it . I have eliminated gray. This condo is too cave like because of the lack of natural light. I feel it needs yellow to bring the sun inside! Wall sconces will be a must have. I went back to Dunn Edwards today. I've decided to do a monochromatic color scheme using only 2 yellows. I'm still going to use Ivory charm #323 but I also wanted to add a deeper yellow to mix it up a little bit. Honey Nectar DET470 looked like the best deeper shade to Ivory Charm. I slapped some on the wall but with the dark colors the original owner has it's really hard to figure out what it's really going to look like. Tomorrow I will look at the honey nectar in daylight. I put a second coat on when it was dark. It might need to be cut it 25% or maybe more. Yellows can multiple in intensity more so than other colors. I did start a design dilemma and nobody has responded. It's under "please help me choose a yellow paint." I posted this on Saturday. If you go there you can see some of the photographs of the existing wall color. It's hideous so you've been warned.

jay06 - Edgecomb Gray is a warm greige which looks more like a beige. The flooring in the photos is the old floor and has already been removed. I'm using Flooret's Arlo which is a lighter color and brown. The lighting will be warm rather than cool.

Thought I could add a picture with the post. This isn't the best picture. It's brighter in person. I saw an article that says to pick a color in the background for a paint color. Would one of the darker blues be best since it's underrepresented in the piece. Or should I scrap the idea and go back to grey?
