Another Not-So-Great Rug Choice
Comments (86)Online shopping is always a crapshoot so I haven't seen any of the choices as mistakes, just the drawback of not being able to see the item in person before purchase. Sometimes ya gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince (speaking of the purchases, not your hub, but he certainly sounds princely lol). Nothing noteworthy about my nickname really, my boss and I were going to join MSN's money messageboards way back when so I wrote down a bunch of possible nics for us and this is the one I chose for mine, kinda thought it fit with the ethereal quality of cyber-conversing (ie I'm there but ya can't see me)....See MoreAnother window covering choice / question
Comments (5)I am glad you do not want to cover up that beautiful millwork. Romans can be done that wide, then you could do an inside mount. If you are planning to do these yourself, do a lot of reading. If you are going g to have them done, pay particular attention as to how they will be mounted. That is a lot of weight. I have made several Roman shades, none that wide, but it can be done. OTOH, you do have 3 separate windows, so 3 could work as well. It would just be a lot of fiddling to keep them straight as they go up and down....See MoreFound another granite choice. Help!!
Comments (65)Fiona Bionco for the win. It reads much more gray in the pic. I have 2 slabs on hold. This is their stock pic. I'll snap a pic this week of my slabs. Yes I have seen my actual slabs. It looks very similar to the Colonial Breeze, but warmer....See MoreWhile Awaiting Plans-Contemplating Kitchen Choices and Colors
Comments (24)Cpartist, I picked up that you were living in Florida. I’m in central Florida. My DH can’t wait for the pool either! The pool/spa bids were waaaaay more than I thought they would be. (We didn’t want a screen initially … but that’s what ya get with two huge trees around. Plus we won’t have to deal with all the bugs and animals!) Several of the pool salesman were just awful to work with. (I got recs from people as well as cold called.) I’m glad we finally found a wonderful company that didn’t jerk me around. Fingers crossed it goes somewhat smoothly!...See MoreYayagal
