I cannot comment on the other products, but I have Vicostone Misterio in both of my remodeled bathrooms. It’s just my husband and I using them—very lightly. We “baby” these new bathrooms. Despite my diligence of wiping every tiny speck of water or anything else, my light Vicostone counters etch. Drives me nuts. I would have been happier with marble and accepting it as a fact of the natural material. I thought (most) Quartz was at least resistant to water spots/etching. Not this stuff. I cannot imagine what it would look like if my kids were still living at home and heavily using the counters and not wiping up after themselves. We have city water, and it’s considered relatively soft.

Lovely roses! Sorry you lost your Ball Gown, Christian! Never fun when roses never take off then die. I agree with PDXRobertZ8 about marketing photos. Would be nice if they would also show what the flowers look like open. I don't think I've seen an ugly rose bud, but some roses when open aren't so great. Would also be awesome if they would also mention how long the blooms last, even if it can be variable. Alas, I'm off onto wishful thinking lala land now...

Just finished The Winter Soldier. I liked it very much, 4 stars. Thanks to those who mentioned it in the January thread. You guys have the best recommendations. I was hoping for a different ending, but it was a just ending. It's the first Daniel Mason book I've read and love his writing. Straightforward but evocative. I have North Woods on hold. Turns out Mason is my daughter's age and is from Palo Alto.

What a sweet little quilt, Theresa. The light squares just ”pop.” I really like the border fabric with its ferns too. I was just thinking about how many of your quilts I have gotten inspiration from, or one could say ”copied.” Propellors was one. Falling Charms. I’m sure there were others too.
