I agree with arcy. It goes OK but bring in another color that you have in the room. If you have a wood floor, perhaps use a tone from that.

Agree with what’s already said about color…. What room is this for? Is there a sofa? What color? I didn’t vote - no yes / no labels or other choice to vote on.

This is for the family room. There will be a medium brown leather sofa. The floor is wood. The walls are pale sage green. I have bright colored art on the walls. I world probably add a couple colored pillows on the couch or maybe colored throw blankets.

Extra info helps. My thought is this rug will look lighter / brighter when laid out on floor - there’s lots of white in it more than the black. It harmonizes with your print fabric. Sounds like you’ll have lots of color in room for interest. My only caution is to make sure you are able to view rug actually laying on a floor as it will be seen - before buying. Colors & patterns look very different placed on horizontal & vertical planes.

Have the rug placed on the floor, or better yet, borrow the rug on loaner to test out in your own space. I've never dealt with a rug store that won't bring rugs to test in the home or let you take them to test in your home.
