Stan, this looks like a very nice list of roses. I grew Yolande d'Aragon in North Carolina (z 7b) for a few years (the plant was grafted and came from Ashdown), and it was pretty much a spring bloomer, with the odd flower in the fall, if lucky. It is, I have to say, a very very lanky, ungainly plant adorned with big, coarse, light green leaves that are very prone to BS in the hot and humid southeast. It definitely needed regular spray. But the flowers were big and beautiful and well perfumed, so perhaps worth putting up with the rest of the rose. Maybe she'll perform better in your cooler climate. I didn't get her again here in England though. I've seen Tour de Malakoff in an English garden not far from where we live (z8), and it's an amazingly beautiful and special looking rose with its many purple hues, but currently I feel that I don't have space for too many once-bloomers. Although I might get it anyway. Post some pictures of it in the spring, if you can! I just ordered Mme Louis Leveque from a German nursery (Schultheis), since it comes so highly recommended. Hi Bunnycat, first, did you buy this from a commerical grower or someone on ebay? In either case, with King's Ransom someone could have made an honest mistake. Playful Spectrum sounds like the plant has a problem. A healthy Playful Spectrum does has a med. to dark green color to the leaves depending on light conditions.Contact the seller,they should be willing to replace the plant(s) that you have purchased. If you purchased it on ebay and are interested in getting quality plants again, please contact me and I will give you the name of some growers who I have dealt with for quite awhile and have never had a problem with.If there is a mistake or plant is beyond saving they will be more than happy to replace it. I also have Playful Spectrum coming up now from leaves so if you are willing to wait, I could send you one when big enough. You would just have to pay postage.

Michelle, if you only knew what a fanatic I am about having my own home grown tomatoes each year, you would know it was very difficult to give up the space. But I thought about it and decided that I really did NOT need to keep growing enough tomatoes to feed the entire neighborhood. One thing was that this is the LAST space I have. There will be no more daylily beds after this. Plus I already had daylilies at each end. It looks spectacular during bloom season but the tomatoes and cucumbers in the middle kinda ruined the view LOL !!! So I decided the tower square garden I had done in my sideyard would be the perfect new home for my veggie garden. I plan to grow the tomatoes in the first tier and the cucumbers in the middle section. Sort of my own version of square foot gardening. There is a glitch in the plan as tower square has bearded iris in it currently. It had dayliliers too but I already moved them this spring. I can't move the bearded iris now or I will loose the bloom. Not willing to do that. So I have no place to plant the tomatoes. Be prepared to see tomato plants growing in bags of compost on my driveway this summer guys. I HAVE to have my tomato plants.

I think you have a leg to stand on, in that they misrepresented with the samples. That there was an entire counter there is also in your favor, imo. If there is any chance the stone is that different than the sample, why rely on them. For a stone that varies widely, the salesperson should have advised and even insisted you go look and pick it out. A lot of people would not realize how much difference there can be, unless they've shopped yards over a period of time to see how the lots can change dramatically, even unrecognizably.
