It may be one of those quirks of garden soil - like 'why do my mother's Lachenalias flourish and mine cower?' (She has a silty loam and mine has more clay even though we live near each other.) Or drainage and aspect. Or feeding later in spring with a mix that has more potash to help set the flowers for the coming season. (Tomato fertiliser can be useful.)

Marleah - I also grow all 3 and they are distinct: 1. Crocus Rose is not yellow, it is apricot/buff fading to cream. Like Carrie Jo says, it starts out tight and opens flat, sometimes with a green pointel. It always blooms in clusters. Foliage is small and glossy. Growth upright, never needs staking. 2. Charlotte is medium yellow, very cupped and much more double than Graham Thomas - you never see the stamens on Charlotte. Also, the blooms last much longer on the bush than GT, which in my experience shatter (too) quickly. Growth upright, sometimes long blind shoots which need to be cut back. 3. Teasing Georgia is lighter yellow, fading to cream on the outer petals. Blooms very double and open very flat. Never doesn't need support! Hope this helps! George

Christie, only the crocus have bloomed. No buds on daffs/jonquils,hyacinths are just now breaking ground so it'll be a while before I see color. Yards in an upheavel as hubby builds on to enclose the front proch/patio for a room for ME! I keep getting run out of every room in the house so I'll move my tv,computer,sewwing machine and exercise equipment into the new room. I'm making dolls and crafts for fairs and festivals this year and there's craft crap in almost every room of the house. Spare bedroom is the supply closet,kitchen is the cutting area,living room is the sewwing area and laundry room is pressing station w/ even more supplies on the washer and drier and in the shelves.Gotta corral this mess and confine it to one room so it dosen't look like a dump when people come over. Shelves above and behind tv are the display shelves for completed items. As soon as the room is finished or at least the outside is done,I'm re-doing the beds that go in front of the new room and down the one side of the house. Whoops,I seem to have taken off on a rant there....LOL PP
