Daisydawnny, hope you are feeling much better now! For katbird, terrene, mnwsgal and lois - I am so sorry for your losses. I was always more of a lurker than a poster, but I have so enjoyed this site and got alot of great plants by ws! FB is not the same - I can barely find new messages or postings on it, let alone do the searching that was so invaluable to me in learning about ws. I really don't even like it for socializing. Who cares if I'm going to the store? Does everyone really want a picture of my life every 15 minutes? No one wants to be that bored!!! I am one of the many who has not done as much gardening the past few years. I lost my mom unexpectedly in 2011 and my dad after a long bout of cancer in 2012. So what little attention and energy I have had have been elsewhere. While my flower beds are reasonably full, I do plan to ws a few things this year - annuals and such - to fill in gaps. I want to get back to digging in the dirt regularly and taking better care of them. I think it will make for a very happy spring and summer. :- )))))))

Hiyah, I guess I'm from the 'old days.' I've had a nest box camera in a box since 2004 and spent some years here venting about the house wrens that have several times tossed both bluebird chicks and chickadee out of their nests. I've had to keep a close eye on the video so that if the chicks got thrown out, I could get them back in the box. Last year I had only one brood of bluebirds here with only 2 surviving chicks and then the bluebirds went elsewhere. At the estimated time that it'd take them to have another brood of chicks, Daddy Blue brought 4 or 5 fledglings to my mealie feeder here so at least I saw them. The bluebirds this year aren't doing anything! They come here to eat when I put out the mealworms but I suspect they are building a nest somewhere else. It's hard to keep my bluebird enthusiasm when they choose not to raise their broods under my watchful eyes. Bluebird blessings, Linda... NW Ga

I am here but I've been a very bad friend. I've been juggling hobbies and, thanks to cold weather, I haven't been doing much mosaic through the winter at all. Though that's no excuse not to come by and see what you all are doing. I'm going to have to catch up on some of your projects. My sea serpent is getting closer and closer to being done. Can't wait until I can post some pictures. And I'm also wondering where SLOW has been? I don't see her posting on the board recently, and like you, I find that troubling. Hope she is okay!
