Need help with TV and couch placement!!
Comments (6)I'd put it on the long wall opposite the window and look into a low-backed u- shaped sectional with the longest side facing the fireplace, the middle part back to the window and facing the TV, and a chaise section next to the fireplace. That's exactly what I have in our house. The chaise section is for stretching out on, and allows everyone to still have the view of the pretty fireplace. We got a custom sofa, for about the same or less than you'd pay at say, Pottery Barn. It's deep and has plush chenille fabric, and it's the best for our rambunctious house full of teens, dogs, and guests. And it seats a lot of people. We also got a big square ottoman that lives at the end of the chaise, but can be pulled over to whereever needed. It's perfect for us. Of course, you'll need to tape off the room to see what will fit. If it won't fit, then please ignore my comment!!!...See Moreneed help with tv placement and suggestions on a coffee table!
Comments (4)wonderful room, only a few small tweaks, could really help. you do need a larger stand for your tv, can you pull it out of the corner and put it against the wall? either to the right of where it is cause i can't see there. or where the shelves are or where the chair is. i think you should pull the chair out anyway, not all your furniture needs to be against the wall. here are a couple ideas i would keep the cute little marshalls table and replace one of your side tables with it, it will give you a touch of variation. here are some other choices for coffee tables, i buy reasonable things, if you use your computer, you can hit the key and it will take you to the company. you seem averse to color, but white on black is too loud. let me try some other ones. put one on your chair and they will all match. i have others, and others in a different color if you like all should be under $25....See MoreNeed help with couch and TV placement in new LR
Comments (2)I would put the TV on the long wall (dining room side) and float the sectional facing it (back to entry). Then you can maybe fit an arm chair and small side table in the bay window area, to complete the grouping and give a bit of conversational possibility....See MoreHelp with living room layout and TV placement!!!
Comments (8)I would try it like Beverly suggested. You will likely need to remove the leather chair/ottoman though. You could put a large rectangular or square upholstered ottoman between the 2 sofas for feet propping or an extra spot to perch. C-tables or small side tables for drinks. If there are not outlets in the floor for table lamps, then perhaps a long arc lamp from the corner where the TV is now....See MoreDenise Marchand
