My little lemon tree is sprouting very small wrinkled and deformed leaves. Why is it like that?

I strongly suggest that you visit the Citrus Forum with your concerns. They will want details about your planting medium, temperature, etc. Pictures of the whole plant will be helpful, too. Not that you can't obtain some good help here, but the Citrus Forum is full of very experienced indoor citrus growers. I'd like to know from what part of the tree that that branch arose.

I think you would be OK sitting it on the floor even though the base would get less sun. I would not set up mirrors to redirect sun. You may trim the tree to fit the space. I've done this with very good success. Of course that will probably mean no lemons. Consider some artificail lighting if needed. 2-3 75W grow bulbs in fixtrues shooting down on the plant (on timers) is also a gretat way to increase lighting and show-case your tree.

What kind of low temperatures are you getting right now? It needs to be outside if you are not having temperatures close to freezing. That will cure you leaf drop. Also your lemons are ripe. I dont know what kind it is or if they hold well on the tree but with just a few and that tree being smaller and having trouble I would remove them. Mike

Johnmerr, Thank you for the input, I am attaching a photo of the tree as you suggested. We actually have it decently distanced from windows but in a very well lit spot in the house, but we did not realize the process of slowly acclimating it's light. As soon as the weather is warm enough with no fear of frosting or low temperatures, we will definitely be putting it back outside. Do you have any recommendations for humidity levels? It is very dry here in the winters, would it be wrong to use a humidifier near the tree? Also, we have read that when the tree grows thorns, it means the tree has been stressed, is this true? Are thorns an indication that the tree is not doing well? Thank you again for your advice!

There are no insects unless they are invisible to the naked eye. Been looking for them. Could it be that it's too cold for the plant? Somebody told me that in different forum

Soil looks dry, what is your watering schedule? I doubt temperature is a factor, what temp is it kept at?

Id say once a week. Usually I stick my finger in and if it feels dry I pour at least 250-300ml of water. The temperature is around 18-21 ° Celsius. I am afraid that it could be this CCDV virus however I never heard of it in my country

The only time i've ever had difformed leaves with my Meyer, is when I over fertilized. What is your fertilizer regimen and how often do you fertilize?
