Hi, If you still are wanting some, I have the warty peanut gourd, I believe also called lunch lady. I am interested in your pepper king of the north for a trade. It is pretty gross looking---sounds like a fun project you've got going on there. I collected these seeds from a local pumpkin patch. I also have turban squash, which is an unusual pumkin -like squash, kind of ugly and edible. If you would like some of these seeds, I would trade for your golden sweet edible podded heirloom peas from India. Please let me know if you want to trade.

Most of the above is close enough but please remember that peanuts come in other colors besides red. I grow black peanuts and love the sweet nutty flavor. fyi, you can find them at www.sandhillpreservation.com Peanuts set over a period of time with a limited set early, full crown set next, then nuts set on the expanded branches. Harvest them when most of the crown set is mature for best results in most of the USA. Note that some peanuts will continue growing and won't "die" as mentioned above. I grew Red Peanut, here in OK, two seasons ago. It made a compact bush with twining, 3' runners. Upon seeing how they twined I gave them some support, but they did not climb. Perhaps they would have if provided support earlier. I once received seed of a family heirloom bean, from the very family who had raised it for about 40 years. They always grew it as a half runner. But when I gave it support it easily reached 10-12 feet. I greatly prefer to grow it as a pole bean, myself. Penny Rile cowpea is noted for being of less vigorous, vining growth than many other varieties. When I give it support it tops 10'. I grow it both ways. George Tahlequah, OK

One of my Star of Siam seed pods has rotted. I'm not sure what happened but after it was cracked I pried it open and the second I saw white wormies (kind of look like maggots) I freaked out and tossed the whole thing in the trash! I'm still freaked out now. I have another seed pod growing on there but I am not sure how to ensure that it doesn't happen again! That was sooo GROSS! I need to get the image out of my head or I'll toss my dinner!
