Need help with window treatment for a short window
Comments (15)Aktillery's advice is excellent. Not only will it provide more light control, placement at the ceiling draws the eye up, making the room feel taller and more spacious. A room-darkening shade mounted outside the frame (use wall anchors) will provide best coverage. There are hundreds of choices of panels, from light sheers to heavy tapestry. It's okay if they hang behind the bed, it will look nice with or without a headboard....See MoreNeed help with window treatments for a 5-part bay window
Comments (1)I would look at roller shades and maybe even the possiblity of battery powered ones. They will give you a clean look and clear view of your window openings. If you want curtains, you can use an iron rod and have it bent to the corners of your bay windows. Use a mount at either end and 1 in the middle (screw it in place so the rod doesn't move). You can then close the curtains to the center of the opening without any major issues....See MoreNeed help with window treatments...please
Comments (4)I have added a natural drapery panel to the room. Blue seemed too dark and white wasn't going to enhance the room setting. I thought the changing out the rug in your room could really boost the room so you'll see some alternate inexpensive selections just to show you how things could change. Also since everything is so very angular in the room, you might want to consider a round cocktail ottoman or table....See MoreNeed help with window treatment for Dining Room
Comments (10)That’s a very tight space for drapery panels. Not enough room for them to stack to each side off the windows so drapes that are full enough to cover window & not look skimpy when closed. They will cover half the window & be very crowded up against your display cabinets & obscure them as well when open.. What about finding new home for the cabinets if you want drapes, or, maybe a glam fabric Roman Shade mounted at ceiling height & just a bit larger than window including trim is the solution? That room has a lot of furniture in it so maybe best to find new home for 2 curio cabinets? Just a thought....See MoreDouglah Designs
