Where have All of our Bruggers Gone!
Comments (77)We are heading south this Friday. We are wandering our way down and will take 3 or 4 days to get to TX. TX people, if you send me contact info I will give you a call or e-mail when I am in the area. Plans are still fluid while in TX but would let you know ahead of time before coming to your area. Anyone in the Dallas area? Will be going through there early next week. I do get e-mail regularly through GW....See MoreWhere have all the passionflowers gone?
Comments (3)They still grow along the Sunnhill Restoration levee. Granted, that's not a roadside, but it's still there. Mine.. or at least my Maypop (the native) got burned by that last bad frost a couple weeks ago and is just now coming back from root. So the ones in the wild might be similarly recouping....See MoreWhere have all the homesteaders gone?
Comments (22)I count myself among the "traitors" who have been over at the farmlife forum- I responded to a post about "private trails" and how to keep off unwanted visitors. We have a pretty huge spread here, so I thought the question might fit better over in farmlife. The oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruit have started to flower and I'm out every night listening to the coyotes and breathing deep. As for homesteading tasks, well, I'm in a "job" time of the year- teaching, but after this month I plan to get busy starting seeds! I love California! The only thing growing here now are the lettuces, some baby dill and one beet. The critters have eaten most everything else I planted for the winter. I tried leeks, but I think they've stopped growing- they've been about the size of a knitting needle for about two months now...lol. Hope everyone else is doing well....See MoreWhere Have All the Flowers Gone?
Comments (19)Maryl - Both Razor Sharp and All of My Love to You have watermarks and some teeth, but I don't think they look alike. Razor Sharp is a much larger sized flower. All of My Love to You is much darker in petal color. But here's a bonus for you. All of My Love to You will survive in a pot during hard winters. Razor Sharp will not. I've never noticed whether All of My Love to you fades much by evening. To tell the truth, it's not one I pay a lot of attention to (except using its pollen). Debra...See Morerosaprimula
