Hi Freak, Its oozing drops of white sap. I did see the black on the tips of leaves..and close to the leaf edge close to the stem or trunk.. But never thought anything about it. Have never seen this before. whole tip didn't have it a couple days ago. Will try and find the fungaway.. if not will 3 in one by shultz work? is a fungicide and rust..bugs etc? It has only been outside for this last month, did not freeze, was protected in the house all winter. Transplanted it early April to a 7 gallon..since has been outside on my patio. 50's at night timps..but not much sun, even covered it at night..must have been warmer last year, didn't have this problem.. Warmth we are not totally there yet. Heavy May gloom.. Being I have never dealed with this, will get the fungicide and try the treatment first. Not sure I will know if its beyond saving or to cut off stage..plant Did put out two clean leaves, then the whole end went black, claws and all, about an inch down all over the tip.. I do see a couple other plants with some black on the leaves, will go remove and watch them. Never delt with this before..Thanks..makes me feel so bad, hoped for blooms. also have rust on pink singapore.. I was lucky enough to receive 3 Mele Pa Bowman (yellow singapore) from a friend a year ago...they were nice size and a bit beefy. All had inflow, it was April, and I did not cut off the inflow..I dipped in water with SuperThrive in it and then into the root tone and then into the cactus/perlite mix where a whole chicken egg sat in the soil 1inch under the cutting. Put them on our warm deck/pavers and they took off...the info and all...bloomed all summer and did not loose leaves or anything. The original inflos are still there on all 3 and look to be growing blooms again on the same inflow..(indeterminate?)...roxanne

To the OP, I've never used TREX Transcend as I stopped working w/ TREX 5 years ago. Regardless of whether or not the company has fixed their problems regarding shoddy boards, they HAVE gotten very good at weaseling out from honoring warranty claims. TimberTech is a strong company that stands behind their products. Are they perfect? No. But they'll make it right if need be. If you buy TREX, you can only HOPE that the boards don't start disintegrating. If they do, you'll find yourself in phone hell trying to find a live person to fulfill your claim. On another topic, I've actually found that the TT XLM boards are MORE scratch resistant than the TT Evolutions. Not sure which one's better about stain resistance though... This one starts out with a box mix, which I generally don't do, but this recipe is a favorite of mine. It is from the Fredericksburg Herb Farm in Texas. I always order this whenever I visit their tea room. ~ Suzie Rosemary and Orange Rum Cake with Glorious Glaze 1 (2-layer) package yellow cake mix 1 small package vanilla instant pudding mix 1 tablespoon finely minced fresh rosemary Grated zest of one orange ½ cup water ½ cup canola oil ½ cup light rum 4 eggs 1 cup chopped pecans Combine cake mix, pudding mix, rosemary and orange zest in a food processor. Process until mixed. Add water, oil and rum; mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in pecans. Pour into bundt pan sprayed with non-stick baking spray. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour or until wooden pick comes out clean. Pour Glorious Glaze over cake in pan. Allow glaze to soak into pan completely before removing cake. Invert cake so that glazed top is facing up. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs. Glorious Glaze ½ cup unsalted butter 1 cup sugar ¼ cup water ¼ cup rum Bring butter, sugar, water and rum to a boil in saucepan. Boil until mixture reaches soft-ball stage or 235 degrees on candy thermometer.
