weed identification--copperleaf ??

Zone6 NewEnglander

The weed has spread like wildfire in the past 3 weeks; is it common copperleaf or virginia copperleaf?

In addition to hand-pulling, would typical broadleaf weed killers or glyphosate, as mentioned in this post, kill both types of copperleaf without damaging clover and cool-season grass? My lawn has lots of clover and I'd like to keep it; location is Eastern Massachusetts.

Thank so much!

Acalypha rhomboidea, so easy to hand pull, that I can't see why you would want to use a herbicide? Ive never seen it growing in lawn turf. They prefer to grow in bare soil or cracks. They are native and they lure flea beetles away from cultivated plants, and they add a nice texture to mixed plantings, and they are an important food for birds and other wildlife. They also help keep the soil cool. I could pull a whole yardful of them out quicker then it would take to spray them, without having to worry about herbicide drift. ???
