Looks like I'm gonna have to live quite a lot longer
Comments (18)I've been using the glucosamine for over a couple of years now, I think - it helped my right shoulder a lot, as I was having trouble reaching up ...out sideways ... and back. There was, easing in, quite a lot of improvement for quite a while, but the difficulties are returning some. I think that the term that I intended for between the bones where they come together was "cartilage". I got the diuretic pills refill yesterday, so am good to go with them for a while. ole joyful ...who just went on "the pill"s about four years ago ... at something of an advanced age...See MoreI can't live with this exterior paint any longer!
Comments (4)I agree that you need to consider the brown roof in your selection of a new color. Also agree that removing the shutters would be the very best improvement other than painting out the pepto bismal paint! https://www.lifeofanarchitect.com/residential-architecture-101-shutters/ White works. But consider other colors too that aren't white. See below insp pics. Sage green works well with a brown roof and white trim. Or you could go a little bit more bold:) You could even go with a yellow/cream and a bright front door. Remember, landscaping will be a huge help too. ^You can find these colors in the link, repeated here for your convenience. You will need to test to see what works for your home because colors change from the monitor to real life. Comments (9)socal, I'm in Southeast Texas, 9a, so I'm warm enough to grow quite a few citrus but still too cold to grow those that can't tolerate below 28-30F. Alas, no Key limes or avocados for me! I may climb the ladder again and do an air layering on the top of one of the flowering trunks of the calamondin. There are four trunks and so I could root one and bring the top down to ground level so I can more easily reach the fruit! Steve, yeah, I don't know what happened to that sticker. I either peeled it off to keep from slipping on it or I wore it out from standing on it so much....See MoreWhat part of the country (State if your inclined) do you live in?
Comments (96)Central OH. I was raised near Cincinnati - my husband and I moved to San Diego to find work (for him, a carpenter) in late 1979 due to the recession - construction and factory jobs had crashed to a halt. I stayed there after we split; really felt more at home there than I ever had in OH. But, after almost 13 years, the cost of living was becoming a strain and I wanted some family near as well - so back to OH, this time to Columbus, though, and I have found it to be a very pleasant place to live. Lots of parks, cycling and hiking, great live music, very many good and varied restaurants including lots of ethnic (various African, middle eastern, and other-than-Chinese Asian.) All sorts of activity. The past two summers have been hotter and more humid than the first 25, but I still find them tolerable (I like heat) and the winters are still pretty moderate -- the past 2 weeks of erratic weather notwithstanding - I don't mind them at all. Still, I think about trying another part of the country. I would like to go back to the San Diego area but do not think it would be a wise financial move....See MoreElizabeth White
