What are called the tall white unbel flowers we are seeing abundantly in July in fields and along country roads everywhere. Thank you!

No not Quee Anne's Lace, not Cows Parsnip either. I am checking on line and in some books to identify and no success. It is extremely abundant right nos.

Thanks, abgardeneer! We have some species of Potentilla here in the prairie with fringed leaves and they are also quite a bit taller. I very much appreciate that you (and others on this forum) took the time to Id the plants and in turn educate the rest of us :-)

How tall? Hogweed,Heracleum mantegazzianum? With no pix you will need to be much more specific.

We really need photos. There are many plants that produce white, umbellaciouis flowers.

You're sure it is not Anthriscus sylvestris? That seems to be rampant in NS.

how do you know the term umbel.. but not the flower name.. lol.. go figure..

i never heard that term before in 50 years of gardening.. double go figure...

if you rule out QAL.. then you might be left with allium... and it is the time of year up north..

Alliums are not umbels :-))

ken likes to be helpful but often makes comments on topics he knows very little about.
