Looking for a specific picture of pink heuchera seedlings

I'm looking for a needle in a virtual haystack... Saw a beautiful pic of pink heuchera seedlings a few years ago, thought it was on here somewhere, but now can't find it on Houzz nor on Google. Don't remember which heuch the seedlings were from, but might have been Berry Smoothie's. It was a bunch of pink seedlings on a table or something in front of a wall or something like that. Well here's to hoping that someone on here happens to know which pic I'm talking about! It was one of my fav seedlings pics, would love to see it again, and to know which heuch those beauties were from.

While heucheras are very easily grown from seed, most of the brightly colored cultivars are hybrids and will not necessarily produce offspring true to form. They could be any color. Only a few species selections - like 'Palace Purple' - will be true to form. 'Berry Smoothie' would not be.

Thank you much, gardengal. Whatever they were, it was a bunch of them, and they looked rather uniform and pink...hope I can find the pic again, but kinda doubt it.

Yes they will cross pollinate but you will get some really nice colors that way. I take a large flat platter out to the garden and cut the the seed heads and lay them on the platter. Allow them to dry further and then tap them against the platter. The seed are tiny and usually rust colored. Its difficult to tell the difference from the chaff. It's also difficult to tell just when to harvest the seed but they set alot of seed so even if you are a little late you will still get plenty of seed. I winter sow mine. In the spring I will transplant to 4 inch pots and keep them potted up all summer because they are so small. I plant them out in the fall and in the spring I have nice sized plants. Mine have never self sowed in the garden. Don't know why. They are easy winter sowers. Have fun.

missylin, I only supplement as I plant. I wish I could have added about 1 foot of topsoil to all my beds at one time, but it would have been too expensive. If I'm planting a double fan, I dig a hole about 1 foot deep and 18 inches wide. I build a mound in the center with my hands out of my natural sandy soil (for good drainage). I sit the daylily on top of the mound, spread the roots and fill the rest of the hole with a mixture of potting soil, compost, a sprinkle of slow release fertilizer and a sprinkle of bone meal. I also use mulch on top (wood chips or pine straw). I think daylilies like our sandy soil...but water and fertilizer leaches out quickly, so we have to compensate for that. BTW, I found a garden soil that I like at Walmart made by Expert. They have 2 kinds...one is for potting (too fine and mucky) and one for the garden (which I like and use for everything). Kathy

That poppy is from the Master Gardeners' sale in Springfield. It is a native plant I think. I have it in a pot with hellebore. I watered it last year but I am sure it was neglected at times and it survived. I will miss the sale this year because I have a family reunion. You should go to that sale if you are any where near Springfield. When I was looking at heucheras at Lowes the tag said no direct sun, but mine get sun part of the day. I think if yours was orange ish that it will develop that color again if the sun is right.

Gardengal, I may have just found the pic... Not 100% sure if this is the one I remember, but it is a bunch of pink seedlings under a rock wall like I thought it was. Well according to this pic, these are seedlings from many different heucheras, not any one. And below this pic was an updated pic of some of them planted in the yard...none of which looked pink. So I'm guessing that many heuchera seedlings look pink but mature into something else(?).
