Last year I sowed Tom Pouce cornflower seeds and saved seed from only the blue ones. does anyone know if the plants from the saved seeds will produce blue flowers?
There is one way to find out for sure - sow the seeds and grow them to maturity in your garden - then you can report back to us what your results are! Genetics are funny sometimes, depending on the background of your cornflowers the saved seed could produce all, some, or no blue flowered plants.
My educated guess is that most of the offspring will be blue but possibly not all of them. Most likely maybe they will be blue, how's that for an answer?
