So despite knowing that I have no space to grow much in the backyard anymore, I ended up ordering a dahlia seed packet. Since the flowers will be surprise, I don't want to invest in getting big containers and soil for something that I might not end up wanting to keep. How do nurseries get the dahlias to bloom in small pots ( 4 - 6 in)? I would like to see the blooms before transferring them to bigger containers to grow. I have promised myself to be more mindful of what's possible in the small space I have, but I just want to have this last project for myself. Any advice will be much appreciated.
