Grandma's purple NOID

I've let it get a little lopsided (I need to turn more) but I was enjoying this NOID today. I have two plants that belonged to my grandmother that she got from the grocery store in the mid-1990s. I've thought this one might be Optimara Barbados a few times (has red reverse) but it doesn't really matter. Good bloomer, hardy plant.

That’s a lovely plant. How rewarding to have one that belonged to your grandmother. It could very well be an Optimara variety though you will never know for certain. It does look much like Optimara Idaho to me.

I am not a daylily expert, but I have grown Little Missy for about 8 years and I have never had a boarder that pronounced on her. That daylily really doesn't look like Little Missy to me.....close, but no.

You mean these weeds?LOL! Yes, I understand what you're saying and I appreciate the suggestion, but I'm just an old broad with physical limitations and I do the best I can. There are ten apartments in this building and I'm the only tenant that gardens on a regular basis. Others on occasion will throw some seed down, and then hope that they get "magically" tended to. DH is also disabled, but will pound stakes in and such for me occasionally. The weeding is up to me and I get to it when I can, but then I have to take a few days away from the garden to recuperate(it usually takes me two days to weed the whole bed). Last year I had funds to put mulch down and that helped, but couldn't do it this year, so I've been weeding around the base of the plants on a semi-regular basis. I hope it's not making you all cringe looking at my posts...it does look better than this at times :D
