This is where I go to purchase plants.Russell Garden wholesale.I'm an 1 1/2 hrs away and believe me its worth the drive.Especially if two people go and you share the gas. Don'T take to many people in your car. Believe me you will want to fill your car after you see the prices. Be aware there is another Russell's near by they are only annuals, This is the link for perennials. I dont think you can order online unless your a business, but you can shop there, anyone can. You can buy one plant or dozens. their prices & quality are very good. Some plants have already over wintered so the root system is strong. One thing to watch for is plants dying off and going out of season. If they are re-seeders they might not come back. In our local shops, I would pay 15.00 for the same plant I pay 5.00 at Russells. I'm tardy to the party, but I wanted to make an input for anyone else to see this: Re: Dean Cook/Flytraps- A good 85% of my current collection is from Dean Cook, and I've NEVER had a problem with him. Patience is required, because he does have a day job, and on the website, it does state that it can take 7-10 days to process an order. I've had some difficulties with communication, but again, patience is required. They do get back to me eventually. Yes, sometimes the plants received aren't the best, but I do believe the season has alot to do with it. Since figuring out what I'm doing, I'm yet to lose anything he's sent me, and they've all grown nicely! I did lose one plant from them during shipping, and they sent me a replacement with the next order I placed. I wouldn't say they're out of the game yet, nor "gone bad". 4/5 Re: Lois Ochs/Raccoon Ridge-I found her on eBay, and purchased a Dana's Delight, Hummer Hammerhead, and 15 (received 18) lost-tag Sarracenia. The Danas, Hummer, and 16 of the rhizomes were all rotten! Talk about spotty communication, and when I finally heard back, they refused to reimburse me or send replacements because "plants are perishable". When they're received in such shoddy condition, I think the sellers should be responsible. It seems the only people that've received good things from her were physically at her nursery. I've found her prices to be very reasonable and her plants are always in very good condition. 4.5/5 Save for Lois, I've bought from everyone else atleast twice, so I have more than "one experience" to judge.

Here on the east coast there is one nursery that I would recommend visiting, Sylvan's Nursery in Westport, MA. They have hundreds of conifers and specialize in "landscape size" trees and shrubs although they have huge supplies of small affordable plants. They have several "farms" and cover a total of 350 acres or so. They are mostly wholesale but if you sign in and sign out (I guess in case you get lost) they let you roam around the greenhouses and grounds; they'll even drive you in a golf cart. I don't know why they even let me in there as I have seen professionals buying tens of thousands of dollars worth of premium stock. They do, and they are always very friendly and treat me just as well with my $60 purchase as the guy next to me shelling out thousands; of course the mark-up is higher with me (5% discount for cash though). Prices for the premium stuff is premium and the smaller stuff is higher than the box stores, but they no doubt probably have what you want, when you want it and the size you want at a fair price. Anyway, it is worth the trip (probably not from Oregon) as they are located along the Westport River and Buzzard's Bay and it is God's country. Don't go at 3 PM as the irrigation goes off (strange, they always say to water in the early AM) no matter what and you will get soaked. Not bad if its hot. I'm jealous of all the great places and choices you have in the Northwest, but thought I would give a plug for some decent people here. Here is a link that might be useful: Sylvan's nursery

Will- The reviews are great. I really appreciate them. Are you familiar with Evergreen Nursery? I have placed several orders from them in the last year and have been wonderfully pleased. They don't have the largest selection, but they do have some uncommon species, and what they offer is top notch size, quality, and price. They have terrific service as well.
