I have 10 at present (remember I do fostering LOL). Mine have nibbled the leaves a few times but I watched them carefully & nothing happened to the cats (the leaves had teeth marks in them). They must not have tasted good to them because they only tried a few bites. I have had puppies chew up plants & stems (to mush) with no ill effects. Linda

I can say they are pretty expensive right now. Mine was $60.00 and he said when I bought it he was only selling like 3 this season. @ that time i was getting the second one as far as I know? Hope there is another one left. there will be more to come though im sure.

Hi Eddie - I've been keeping my eyes on your listings. Many times I've wanted to push the "buy it now" button. Hi Kylie - you're absolutely right, spending a little more will buy me some time in that I can see blooms sooner. Hi Eloise - yes, I'm in and out of the various forum. Getting into more trouble...buying more plants that is. Plumerias has moved down a notch to #2 and roses has taken over the #1 spot :) And there is yet another plant sale hosted by our water district today...so maybe another addition to the "pot ghetto"? I'm in Riverside County, and where are you Eloise? As for trading, I have never done that before and really am nervous about the receiving end, will they be happy or not. I've done the postage thing before and sent postage money before item was sent, that's how I got the brugmansia that I killed. It was from a really nice man name Joe from Tennessee. Kasie

Karma: Eeeeeeks - 4 weeks before a snow. . .holy smokes. Yea - Ouch - that's what he said the second year in a row. But he wouldn't let me get one of those really wonderful rotary "black gold" compost thingies. He may rethink it now. 2-80 year old Sugar Maples, and an Ash. You can stand 2 feet deep in leaves in the front yard. It's not a small task. Each leaf the size of a large hand. Plus the branches the Ash drops. That's why it cost so much. 5 guys - with RAKES. I have no idea why they didn't come in with commercial stuff. And those Maples - they do TWO drops. So just when you think there's light at the end of the tunnel. . .(pow!) Here comes another drop. (grin) I have a leaf blower/vac. I tried that one year. (grin) I choked it. And filled the bag every 30 seconds. LOL (grin) Unless I want to get a rider and store it - I don't have a lot of options. Although I'd gladly rake several piles up if I could compost them and turn them into garden soil. In either case - the "leaves" in the fall have always been a major issue here. It's a price I pay for these large gorgeous trees that everyone on the block loves - and spoke to me about on day 1 when I moved in. Don't cut them down - they've been here since this road was established. . .don't do this, don't do that. . .the paper comes and takes pictures of them in the fall. . .yada yada yada. . . During that microburst storm, several neighbors said they were afriad one of the "downed" trees they saw were one of the maples. 4 of them stopped by to say "good, glad it's not one of yours!" I don't know why everyone is attached to my trees, but they are. So - it was one of those hidden "gotchas" I didn't know about when I bought this little old place. We had to do something - can't leave them on the ground - brings diseases to the trees.
