Pls Advise: How 2 Revive Morning Glory Bit by Frost and/or Gopher
Comments (4)I just checked again after watering this morning, and sure enough there is a gopher in the basket, because he closed up the hole with dirt. so I guess, I should dig the whole thing out? Maybe I will bring my cats to see, in case I pull out a gopher? Hopefully they will learn to hunt them better than they do. I try to teach them that birds are friends but gophers are good for hunting, being our rivals in the garden....See MoreMBR French doors open in or open out?
Comments (18)If the room is large enough that inward opening doors won't impact on furniture placement then I'd have them swing inside. When the doors are open I prefer that they swing 180 degrees so that they frame the opening. If they can only open 90 degrees due to furniture or an interior wall then have them swing outside. But there are a few other things to consider - does it matter to you if the doors do not match the existing vintage doors? Will the exterior be wood, vinyl, steel and how will that look inside your room? Would it bother you to have the 'dirty' exterior inside your room? If they open outwards will you need to secure them so that they won't bang against the house or blow shut in a breeze? I know this is the side that faces the ocean but what direction does it face? Will you get the morning sun? That might make a difference in whether you want window treatments or not. These are all minor points but they might be important to you....See MoreExisting cat and new kitten--and 2 different foods
Comments (2)If Maggie is wanting Coco's food, then I'd be inclined to let her eat the same thing he's eating. I just looked up the ingredients of the Culinary Creations and they look good, unlike a lot of the SD dog food I've seen. Some animals may react to the wheat flour and gluten that's in the cat food, but if your animals have been healthy on it then I see no reason not to feed what works for you and the cats. After trying nearly every brand of cat food, my cat eats only Fancy Feast. I know it's not the best food out there but it's what keeps our household happy!...See MoreDemo starts tomorrow morning!!!...and some YELLOW choices : )
Comments (30)Thanks, Clarygrace! Bee and Christine- I like your method! I DO prefer the name Sundress, but I really do like Squish Squash (the color) more : ) Christine, those wines are too funny : ) lavender, the SS at 100% is very pretty but tends to get a bit obnoxious/orange in the evening and in certain lighting. However, it IS the right tone I was looking for so taking it down really helped and now it looks much better in the shaded areas. natebear- It is fun to say : ) bellsmom- yes- every now and then I see a bit of green. It's hardly detectable but I noticed it in the evening and in certain light. It certainly is not anywhere near as green as a lot of the yellows I explored but next to squish squash it does have that tendency. SS is a bit warmer. (it has some orange in it) dilly- yes, we are doing the Ipe and I'm glad to hear you like it : ) We are doing the tongue and groove. The deck will be covered but open on two sides so we can still hose it down : ) Do you oil yours? Here's some photos from today! Amazing what you can get rid of in 6 hours! foundation...See Morecarolb_w_fl_coastal_9b
