'Spider Plant' baby producing its own... baby?
Comments (2)I've noticed with mine that on some baby off shoots it will produce a long shoot with a baby on the end, then another long shoot with another baby and so on. It has a neat cascading effect. Most of these babies have their own roots and I've thought about separating and planting them on their own but the effect is really cool. On the same plant there's also 2 flower spikes. Maybe this one will turn into a flower spike?...See MoreBabies, babies, babies
Comments (7)Have you made Elizabeth Zimmermann's baby surprise jacket? It's the cutest jacket (go to flickr.com or google images and do a search and you'll see all kinds of variations for colors). Pattern was $3-4 at my LYS and it's in some of her books. It can be done in self-striping yarn, with leftovers, etc. Some people add a collar or (my fav) a hood. In case you aren't familiar with it, it's knit all in one piece looking like a blob and then you fold it the right way and seam up the sides and voila! A very cute cardigan! Also, I found the cutest booties, Saartje's baby booties, here's a blog link that includes the pattern link... Saartje's booties I've seen them done with all sorts of yarn and buttons and they're adorable. They would be cute done in the same colors and buttons as the BSJ. Knitty.com has all sorts of cute baby/toddler things, including little animals. It's worth doing a search. Have fun! I'm waiting for someone I know to have a baby so I can get busy on a BSJ but I may have to make one regardless, just because it looks like such a fun knit! :) Here is a link that might be useful: BSJ photo...See More'Flea-biting', nibbles, baby bites, whatever you call it.
Comments (24)I have a 2 year old pit bull that does this when we play. I think it's funny, and adorable. He doesn't do it to anyone else though. Just me, when we're playing. I get on all fours and headbutt his shoulder, and he spins in circles chewing on me, and pulls on my shirt, and sometimes tries to pull my shirt off. He likes nibbling my chin too....See MoreBaby blue? Baby blue eyes? Which blue spruce is it?
Comments (5)Difficult to tell for sure. Ive got about 12 baby blue and 2 baby blue eyes, all about that size at present. Of my trees (ymmv), the baby blue are definitely more blue while the baby blue eyes are more silvery (like yours). Ignoring the color, my BBE appear to have that form/branching style. .The best way to tell, however, may be how much you paid. The baby blue tend to be about half the price (or less) of the baby blue eyes, at least here in Ohio (where conifers seem to be noticeably cheaper compared to whenever I see prices mentioned from other parts of country on here). Id say if you paid (full price) $70 or more it is prob BBE. $60 or less, probably BB. I got most of my BB on special (they just picked the worst looking ones and marked em down to 10). I like em both and looking forward to seeing variations in the seed grown BB. The BB are also supposed to be narrower which I like....See MoreBlueberryBundtcake - 6a/5b MA
