Perennials Heuchera

Looking for a white flowered, green leaved Heuchera

I grow Heuchera 'Old La Rochette' in three semi-shady locations. It is a truly wonderful plant, blooming 6-8 weeks. However, I also have in my garden an older green leaved, white flowered heuchera which I treasure. It lights up a shady corner like nothing else I've ever seen. It makes the dim corners glow like candlelight. So I want more.

I don't know the variety name of the one I have because it was growing the garden when we moved here in 1995, though it looks to me rather like pictures of 'White Cloud'. Around that time the interest in colorful leaves replaced the interest in heucheras as flowers, and the older ones started disappearing. I've been looking all over the place for some of the old white cultivars, 'White Cloud', 'White Spires', 'June Bride'. Lots of mention, but when I check with the nurseries, I find that they dropped them several years ago.

Does anyone have any idea where I can get plants?

I just bought the prettiest variegated green and white Heuchera. I do not know the flower color though. It is called Snow Angel if I remember correctly. I looked up White Cloud-very pretty. Hope you can find one! Seems that you could also divide yours to create more.

You can easily divide them in the spring to make more.

I’ve done this many times and they fill in quickly!

Actually, all dogwoods have tiny flowers like that. Some just have showy bracts that we think of as the "flowers". That's what those big white "petals" are on Cornus kousa. The flowers on those are the tiny ball of white, green or yellow florets at the center.

You could also collect the seeds and grow more from those. The seedlings will have some variability but will mostly be similar to the mother plant.

I can divide mine, and have in the past with Old La Rochette. This one seems to increase much more slowly. I was hoping to buy plants so I could have an abundance. But it seems that is not going to happen, alas.
