Trying to make a sound decision before I start planting this year. This will be my 1st year in the NE PA country with black bear, dozens of deer daily, dozens of turkey weekly, raccoon, woodchuck, skunk, possum, fox, coyotes, bobcat, have all been seen on cameras from late summer, fall, and this winter. Haven't lived here in spring so wondering if I should throw in the towel on my plans for a huge garden in garden beds and 6' fencing (haven't built yet, but would be) or utilize my pole barn and put in grow lights and either hydroponic or aquaponic (the one with the fish to use the aquarium water for fertilizer and added benefit of my own farmed fish for dinner)? Anyone have any input that could help? I've read a good amount on each method of gardening but very novice.
