Can You Identify This Violet?

Can anyone identify this African Violet? I put my thumb in the pictures to show just how tiny the blooms are. They are SO tiny! I got it from Wal-Mart. Just like the other 3 I got there over the past few months, there is no name on it at all. Not even the growers name. So I don't know who made the cross. I have nowhere to start. The blooms are tiny bunches and purple with white edges. I almost thought it was that new cross, that doesn't have open blooms on it, they stay closed all the time, and it just looks like it has bloom stems with no flowers on them. Anyway....can anyone give me some idea this violets name? All the others I have are still un-named. I bought it because of the odd flower. So very tiny and lots of them. The leaves are a light green, deep dimples, and the back of he leaves are also green,no red on them. Any ideas?

No, it isn't a trailer, Nancy. The plant right in front of it is but this. I have 3 minis in one container. Possibly the leaves of the trailer are getting in the way. Thanks for any help. Dar S.

Ordering might be your best shot. If you've got a few extra dollars, ... take a look at Optimara outlet www.SelectiveGardener.com. There are some great plants being offered, they can send you plants in bloom, and the packing is superb. My only caveat is that I'd wait another month or so before ordering ... P.S. They've got a new series LooXo, which features no anthers/pollen sacs. Beyond having a somewhat different look, ... these plants might turn out to be more Thrip resistant ...

Well with the flowers being SO tiny,and in tight bunches, I thought it might be some brand new cross. Like that one that doesnt have flowers on it that open, it only gets bloom stalks and buds, but they never open and it is called something like 'NoFloris. It came out this year or late last year. Well these flowers are so tiny in person, all bunched up like a tight 'bunch of violets'....thought it might be some new variety that got past the eyes of someone at the grower for Walmart....and I got it. One that wasnt suppose to be let out for sale yet.

Well...maybe someone might know what it is.

Optimara often sells the seedlings they don't use for breeding to big box stores, so it's probably one of those. I like the flowers.

Since they are no putting labels on the plants - they organize shipping boxes with a selection of different colors. So there is no reason to weed out sports and alien mutants. There will be always a buyer who wants something a bit different . Like there is a limited demand on Optimara "NeverFloris" PoohBearLvr mentioned. Not that all people want this plant wih evergreen buds, but it is novelty and some will collect novelties.
