Cleaning up under Junipers?

smith9685

We bought a house that has a row of very tall columnar junipers along the property line and it's very apparent that the last owner never bothered to clean up any of the dead needles?/leaves? that drop each year so I'm now trying to figure out how to get rid of a pile that is easily a foot deep underneath them. I attempted to rake a spot as a test but it's quite packed and looks like there might be mold growing in the lower levels from it sitting there so long which makes me nervous...and tbh raking and bagging will take me a month worth of weekends and likely a hundred bags!

My brain pictures using a leaf blower set to suck mode, attached to a flexible pipe that dumps it all into our trailer but imagining something and reality can be two very different things! lol.

Would appreciate any advice or recommendations that anyone might have on how I can clean up this mess! Thanks :)
