DO NOT SHOP HERE. Worst experience I have ever had with a nursery (and I have dealt with many of them). I ordered two bare root trees.. Several weeks later, one tree showed up completely leafed out with the leaves all dead. I placed it in water 30 min after it was on my porch and 5 hours later the leaves were all still obviously done. The second tree had a huge major crack in the main root. I sent the same attached pics to TyTy asking for a refund, and got a generic reply that because of covid 19 they where not responding to emails. I called two times and was put on hold for 20 min each time and never reached a live person. When I finally did talk to someone I was told they would need to discuss this with a manager. Later that day I was told that the crack in the root would likely eventually heal if planted, and the tree with the dead leaves had been potted before it was shipped, and it likely still alive and would shoot some new leaves if planted. That tree was not potted and it was dried out. I did not order struggling / damaged plants that were already going to go through transplant shock and might have a chance to survive. This is tree planting 101 and I have been treated horribly. I still have not received a refund, or offer or credit or replacement trees.

thanks for the poem - I love it - and the ideas for the record hole I have made 2 or 3 different styles of record bowls. The old 78's are so much more thick than the 33's. I have used the 78's and just barely fluted the edges so it is more of a tray or a plate. The 45's make cute little candy dishes. I have paid as much as 99 cents for some of the 33's. How much do I charge for these at a craft show? I want to sell them but I know people will say "I can do that". Also, how much do you charge for darn it dolls? Thanks

Granted this is the first I have sent notes-- but my thinking is that a note extends a business courtesy and builds on the relationships that were initiated in the interview process. With one company, after two meetings with the I have established a professional rapport-- and if I do not move forward with a position in their organization, chances are I will encounter them at sometime in the future. Either as a partner, a client or as a candidate. They are growing and the CEO, especially, is well established in my area of business. With the other organization, I met with in-house HR staff regarding a few positions. Like it or not-- recruiters tend reach to out more to those who have been enjoyable to work with. They do not make the hiring decisions but they are the connection to those who are hiring. I have no expectation that a note will give me a hiring advantage-- and frankly, I don't want it to. I have a solid resume of experience and if that (or my outstanding personality LOL) isn't enough to get me the position, a thank you note won't open doors. It seems I stand alone re: being annoyed by candidates who reach out to me directly. I'll give this some thought and perhaps reconsider. I suspect my annoyance was a reaction to the tone of those unsolicited emails but there's also a chance I was being too rigid.

Cattyles, yes I'd be very interested in hearing more of what she thinks and perceived too. I had a feeling she would see the protective gestures and so comment. I hope she talks about it more in the future. I'd really like to know what she thinks about when he was dragging him through the water. As I recall, he ran off with the boy when the commotion ranked up. I noticed the same thing in the linked Jambo tape. Jambo was nurturing the child but when the boy's mother started screaming hysterically at the top of her lungs a young male ran onto the scene. The zookeepers had some difficulty managing him but luckily were able to keep him at bay and under control without anyone getting hurt. In the tiger incident with Siegfried & Roy, they also thought the tiger was actually being protective, although Roy was hurt in the process. They were very close. I think he had raised him from a cub, not positive.
