Helping a young drooping lavender in the heat

Hi everyone, here in Portland we are experiencing a bit of an unexpected heat wave bringing temps to 90 today. Our young plants that went in the ground a couple of weeks ago are taking a bit of a hit. I’m wondering if you could give me some advice on our lavender. We have a row of them, facing west, full and hot sun. Normally not so hot during this month through end of June but here we are. Our mature lavender is not having any trouble, but the young plants are stressed. I know not to overwater, so they have been getting soaked every three days in the high temps. They perk up in the morning but once the afternoon hits, they droop. The bottom of all of the plants do have some yellowing going on, so I held back water due to thinking they could have been getting too much. I’m always confused at how much I’m supposed to give the young plants while getting established. I’d love any advice. Thank you!
