Sweet Viburnum Issues

We got these shrubs just over a month ago. Nursery said to water 30 min daily for the first 30 days and then once a week after that.
This past week was the first week without daily watering. They were looking great prior to this, but by the 3rd day started looking very droopy so we watered. They are looking better as far as drooping, but haven't completely bounced back and we're noticing a lot of leaves dropping and some discoloration and crunchy looking leaves. It also got quite cool this week (low 50s).
I'm hoping that they just need water more frequently and that it's nothing serious. I'll attach pictures below. We live in Hudson, FL (zone 9B). Thoughts?

i cant tell from the pix.. but are you sure its not just the weight of the flowers.. pulling down the branches ???

they were large transplants ... they were stressed by the process ... including shipping from grower to seller ... frankly.. that taken into consideration.. they dont look all that bad ...

and of course.. a heavy flowering after transplant is an added stress ...

ALL plants.. even evergreens ... shed leaves.. and it can be increased by all the stress ... and there can be damaged leaves in the process ... so losing a few here or there is nbd ...

see link below.. regarding water ... i dont know about 30 mins every day ... what is your native soil.. and how were they planted??? .. i would tend to insert finger.. or take a small hand trowel ... and dig a couple 3 to 6 inch holes near the root ball planted .... and find out how water moves thru the soil .. and let them near dry .. in between waterings ... [with the caveat.. that i never watered plants in FL ... in what is probably sand???]

you didnt leave much room for future growth ... i hope you know how to prune .. other than haircuts .... a good pair of pruning shears will help with that ... when the time comes ....

5' does sound accurate,but better results might be attained if you stagger them in a ^ pattern.

3' minimum if you want a solid hedge, 5' is okay if you plan on letting it grow unpruned, but I wouldn't go more than that unless you want to walk between the plants.

I want to use some sweet viburnum to create a hedge under very big oak trees, it is a shaded area for the most part. Do you think it will work? or should I use something else? (Zone 9) Thanks
