Oh Linda, this plant is really the best someone could have for a Fall-blooming plant. It has flowers that resemble Spring flowers. It will be my patio late-summer diamond. That's why I really need to know what I can do in order to take absolute care of these seedlings. I don't want to lose them. I will try to repot them. However, can I really seal that bag again even if outside it gets almost 90F during the day? They will be in the shade all the time, but would it still be ok to seal them?

Where are you located (specific location or plant hardiness zone)? The advice will depend on your climate. This is a macrophylla/mophead of some sort. If it's somewhere that was affected by the very cold winter this past year, then last year's wood (+ blooms) were probably frozen to death. The previous year, they were pruned off by your wife. Don't prune and hope for a warmer winter. If your winters are always very cold (zone 5 and below) then you may never get blooms with this variety. Do the leaves wilt in the heat of full sun, or do they look perky all day? It also looks like it has iron chlorosis (causing the yellow leaves). There are products you can apply to help that, but I don't have personal experience with them, so I'll leave others to advise on that.

I think it wouldn't be impossible if you wanted the whole 5 foot tree, but it wouldn't be easy, either. You'd want to start digging a good distance from the tree, and also down to get as much of the roots as possible. Put it on a tarp, carry it over to your house, and replant. Figs are very hardy and tolerant to some abuse, so it might be worth a shot if you like them and your neighbors are going to kill them anyway. (I'd make sure I had a rooted cutting before doing this, however.) For winter protection...it's very easy to put some stakes in the ground around the fig and then wrap some burlap around the stakes (If you wrap the burlap around the fig, you could cause it to rot...wet burlap clinging to the trunk isn't good.). It won't completely eliminate winter injury but as a quick and dirty method it works surprisingly well. For the apples, if you want to save them, I'd take some scion wood and graft them to a new rootstock (there are directions online for doing this, and although it is a bit of work, it's not much, and not very expensive. You might fail, but even if you do, you're only out a couple of bucks and the time you put into it.). If you don't want to do it yourself, there are places online that will do it for you if you send them scion wood. It's a bit more expensive, but not prohibitive. $40 maybe?

I brought peeled cloves of Aglio Rosso See post, ( a Creole, which I really wanted to try) from France last October , planted them in an available self watering pot which is too shallow. In the picture you can see the roots in the water. I will probably replant some , maybe use agroponic fertizer with the other. Any thoughts?
