I wish they had tested the asymptomatic Lafter for the virus...just saying. Sounds like there's a source for the virus and vector mites fairly close to the garden...should be an interesting test. Similar tests (same plants) are being conducted elsewhere from what I've read.

Speaking from experience with wood floors, you don’t need a matt/rug in front of the stove. One in front of the sink, that somewhat overlaps the pullout garbage and dishwasher, is sufficient. That’s where the major dripping will occur. Look for a matt that won’t stick to the wood (some gel matt’s will ruin wood floors), and one with a low profile, so it’s not a tripping hazard. Also, decide whether you want the matt to be a focal point, or not. We wanted something effective, easy to wipe clean, and mostly unnoticeable. Purchased at Costco, 5+ years ago.
