OK, I'm pretty much sold on Toto, but...

UltraMax seems to be the only one of these that have ADA height though unless I'm misreading something. We have a Vespin II, installed eight months ago. It is ADA height, skirted, and it uses 1.28 gallons per flush; it flushes completely time after time. It is a good solution for our needs. But it is a two-piece. If you want a stylish one-piece that has every technological innovation that any Toto has, look at the Inax Dover. Inax is the #2 market share toilet maker in Japan, and is the innovation pioneer in the world's most competitive toilet market. Most of the features in Toto toilets appeared first in an Inax model in Japan. Among others, Terry Love (with whom you are familiar) sells the Inax Dover. Comments (26)I like the new knobs but think they'd work so much better in chrome or polished nickel. The shape and size are right, but I am not loving the duller finish in your space. I like the 3rd chandy most. We got our dining room chandy in chrome and it sparkles all the more. If you could get the 3rd one in chrome (or another shiny silver) it would be perfection. I am not saying that you need to match the faucet btw, just that with your other elements, I think the glossier finish would be more special....See MoreKitchen Finished! (pretty much)
Comments (43)Juno_barks and Gidge816, I think it's certainly worth getting some samples and seeing how it looks. Our first choice was super white and it was actually half installed in the kitchen and then removed. As I recall it had a slightly warmer tone to it than the iceberg but was very similar in terms of movement etc. The Calacatta tile that I used would probably be a better choice than a colder toned marble but again, your mileage may vary depending on your other choices and light etc....See MorePretty much finished kitchen...
Comments (44)Thanks, Amanda and Shannon for your nice words! We are really enjoying our new kitchen. Re: the prep sink - I never had one before, so I actually had to "train" myself to use it. I was always going tothe main sink and slowly I've started using the prep sink more. I think even if I didn't have it. I wouldn't feel the main sink is too far from the range. It's really only like two steps. The kitchen gets morning sun - it's shining in there now. I don't recall it being too warm in the summer - it wasn't really done until fall - but then we'd just put on the A/C. THe floor is just white oak and the trash is in the pullout right next to the sink. THAT, I love - we used to have a can out in the middle of the floor. I do wish we had a foot pedal on it, though. I think the kitchen would be fine with the oppposite color scheme; I love our cherry/marble on the island and I think the dark would be great on the perimeter. I just happen to be a white cabinet person. Shannon - the soapstone is just terrific. THere's a reason why so many people are "stoners" here on these forums. It doesn't stain at all and as far as the maintenance is concerned, all you do is oil it (I use a beeswax oil, which is like a paste) every once in a while. I don't consider it a chore AT ALL, it's very therapeutic for me, in fact. Hope I answered your questions!...See MoreMokinu
