Ideas for table centerpiece?
Comments (6)I've always done that with whatever kind of container, basket, or bowl I can unearth from the basement - occasionally have even used the clear plastic containers baked goods come in. When I buy my wreaths from the farmers market, they'll usually give me an assortment of their evergreen trimmings; if I need to augment that, I have a variety of yews, spruce, junipers, mugos etc. in my own yard. A block of floral foam and a new supply of candles from a craft store and I'm good to go. The floral foam holds a lot of water, so a live arrangement will generally hold its needles until I'm tired of looking at it sometime around mid-January. If you've ever been to, or have seen books on Christmas in Colonial Williamsburg, they do simply stunning extremely simple table decorations with fruit (mainly apples and oranges) and a little greenery....See MoreAny ideas for a warped dining table top?
Comments (0)I'd post a pic but there is no possible salvation for my Thomasville 48* round dining room table top. The cherry veneer is completely separated and the finish is shot - all due to a potted plant I left on the table when I was away from home for a month. Ugh! So does anyone have any ideas for a fix (beyond using a tablecloth, which is what I've been doing)? Removing the existing top would be major surgery for which I don't have the tools or expertise, so the fix has to be something that would be on top of the existing surface. Any ideas appreciated!!!...See MoreCenterpiece on dining room table
Comments (34)You liked the Asian footbath and I think that would be a good investment. Get a stand to go with it to protect your table. You don't necessarily have to plant in it. Just buy small potted seasonal plants or orchids and stick them in. If the pots are too small, just pad the bottom with something, maybe chicken wire, whatever. If there are gaps exposing the plastic pots around the top, fill them in with decorative moss. https://www.google.com/search?q=asian+foot+baths&oq=asian+foortbaths&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.0i13i30k1.5922.8020.0.14358.2.2.0.0.0.0.204.322.0j1j1.2.0....0...1.1.64.psy-ab..0.2.320.tjGGESTswWw...See MoreI need a new dining table centerpiece
Comments (8)I have like erinsean a footed cake plate with a crystal bowl on it. Right now I have glass pumpkins in the bowl and faux leaves around the bowl on the cake platter. Different holidays have different decorations. Sometimes it is just the platter and bowl on the table....See MoreHome Interiors With Ease
