Comments (20)This was my Lemon Lime from Royal Colors. It seems that it has smaller flowers than Cindeea's but more green color. Two different strains? Maybe. I went ahead and ordered one from JS this season to compare. I won't mind having a couple of Lemon Limes. I LOVE green. This Lemon Lime gave out 3 scapes with 11 flowers all in all. Only 2 of these flowers were successfully pollinated. One with Grandeur pollen and one with La Paz pollens. Lemon LimeXGrandeur produced just 2 itsy bitsy seedlings. Lemon LimeXLa Paz gave out just 5 seedlings. I am hoping the LL from JS would be more fertile....See MoreSome critter is chomping my little limes/lemons and devastated my
Comments (85)LOLOLOL...The squirrels have been horrible for me too in area I didn't think to put repellant....They are eating strange things..Mines sit on my fence eating my Lilac leaves and the other day my Roses, stems and all? Did they come from another planet planted by aliens this year? Just NUTS...lol Thank God mine don't touch my Citrus, although one did get stuck in my greenhouse and chomped on my Orchid bulbs...Then drowned in the pond in there......See More"Fairy Tale X Lemon Lime" Siblings
Comments (58)Hello Maria, we should be, IMHO, VERY aware, that since the year 2000 approximately, many new DIPloid hybrids have been created, the inescapable consequence of which is, that many of them will disappear rather soon and MIGHT already have gone extinct respectively. This might be the case with "Jaguar" which is regrettable - well, provided it IS true that this hybrid can/could produce 6-8 florets per scape. Everybody who is in possession of modern DIPloid hybrids might become the "conservator" of all those individual hybrids that they deem "precious". I am the proud conservator of "Melusine" (yes the "real" one, which is presumably TRIploid, currently I have 4 bloomable bulbs) and "Striped Panther" (DIPloid, strongly fragrant, currently 4 bloomable bulbs and 4 smaller bulbs) and I wonder whether, for an example "Santa Fe" is still alive somewhere......See MoreFor those interested in the genetic backgound of 'lemons' and 'limes'
Comments (22)Johnny boy I won't respond to that because I'm a mature adult and I know what is appropriate for this forum and what not. You want to talk Eurozone politics and economics and Greece go to the Hot Topics forum. I can handle you easily there. I'm well versed on the subject in contrast to you. Please go on with your practice and you will soon find yourself out of this forum. Btw I have never belittled Guatemala I have and am belittling you because you are worth it but only in response to your arrogance, rudeness, sociopathic tendencies, disregard for social norms, insensitivity towards other forum members and intentional toxic trolling. You picked me this time for some reason only known to you but I hope you have found out by now I'm a tough nut to crack. I did not start this, you did and you didn't even have the guts not to delete that post where you out of the blue called me a fool. Keep up your practice of ad hominem attacks if you so wish but you will not silence me and you will be paid back every time with the same token. Stop it and play well as everybody else in here and all will be fine. Enough now, I'm going out to enjoy the very rare summer rain we're having. Hopefully that will cleanse all toxins off....See MoreAmanda Tyner
