Comments (11)I got dizzy looking at the pictures that were taken from directly above. The cranberry sauce looks better because it is shown in perspective, as one might really see it. The main problem with the pictures is the camera angle - not sophisticated at all! Even the turkey, which is somewhat better, is shown straight on instead of from an angle. She obviously didn't take very many shots, or else she would have had something better to choose. Many of the photographers were are much better, including Ann and Diana. I've done professional product photography myself (for furniture), but Ann's food photos are better than mine. Lars...See MoreBirds eating garden fruit; identification of bird?
Comments (4)Oh, yea he's hanging out by onions here. The strawberries are off camera to the right, and the tomatoes are in small planters on either side of the planter he's on now. Those are really the only fruit we have that we've had trouble with; we have watermelon and cantaloupe but they birds ever bother them. could be sparrows, we have a lot of those in the neighborhood. this species is the only one that seems to actually stick around in the garden, thought. i probably should have mentioned that I live in south eastern PA....See MoreBirds eating all my phlox buds!
Comments (4)Surprised but very sympathetic, zqueen. We had both finches and phlox but will now count ourselves lucky to have never experience such a thing. Have heard of this with fruit trees, also shrubs and even herbaceous plants. NHBab's suggestion sounds well worth trying. Other on-line approaches, involving combinations of motion, reflected light or sound could also be feasible. P.S. I'd be more than willing to eat tomatoes at NHBab's place....See Morevonyon
