Four o'Clocks and Brugmansia

Has anyone else noticed the similarities between Four O'Clocks and Brugmansia and Datura? In looking at the taxonomic classification of Four O'Clocks, it looks like science doesn't think they are closely related, but I do.

Consider:

1. Just like Brugs, Four o'Clocks open a trumpet-shaped, usually fragrant "flower" (a modified sepal) in the cooler part of the day.

2. Just like Brugs, this flower comes from the Y - before there are Ys, there are no flowers.

3. They bloom later in the season, when temperatures are warmest.

4. They taste bad to deer and other wildlife, and are somewhat toxic.

5. The flowers stand out from the plant, more like Datura. Are there Brugs that do this?

I'm sure there are more similarities. What do you think about this?
