A division will be available. It is a large plant but it needs 2 or 3 years before it will be unmanageable. Then I'll have a lot. But I've identified a candidate that will be available in a few weeks. I'll be in touch.
Shaved, WOW! I love this one. Please tell me it is fragrant. Now that my green collection is under way, I am adding the blues and this one is outstanding.
I have the same plant which is budding but nothing opened yet. What bothers me with this plant is the flowering spike is floppy, so the flowers hang down. It is pretty, though.
Hi treehugger. I see you are in zone 6 MD. I'm in zone 10b in Florida. The greater the distance from zone to zone the greater the variation of what works and is easy. I'd suggest joining the local orchid society if you are not already a member. They live in your zone and the experienced growers have found the best plants and methods that match your needs.
Ask how to grow a phal and get a variety of answers per zone. And there have been a few confrontations of what to do. I guess down around the Equator hardly any plants take direct sun. And in Ohio those same plants might take all they can get.
