Love This Tree! But Need The Name So I can Find It At My Nursery Help!
Comments (5)http://www.jfschmidt.com/elmtrial/JFS-elm-parentage-2009.pdf. this gives you a list of possible elms to Google :) I'm pretty certain. It doesn't apprear to be a zelkova based on the bark (appears to have ridges and is not redish in color), and it's definitely not an American elm due to leaf size, etc.... I think frontier is a pretty good guess. If you could upload a clear picture of the bark that might help to rule out the ulmus parvifolia cultivators at the link. Those tend to have smaller and narrower leaves which are present in your picture....See MoreI need to name 4 trees for my city, help!
Comments (8)(I cannot seem to be able to edit the original post, so updating in a comment) Thanks macranthos carol23_gw Bookwoman socalgal_gw , here are more details: Location: Bay area peninsula, CA leaf images: #1 #2 #3 #4 (and yes, I know #4 is sick, not sure what that is but t has been a few years... )...See MorePlease, I need to help with the name of this evergreen tree.
Comments (13)Unfortunately, even though the Sunset zones are way more accurate for us on the WC, they still use crop data, not ornamentals. So people run around bemoaning the fact that the last frost date in Sonoma County is April 15, but it means absolutely zero for a tree, even a tender one, when the days are that long and the frost is that light. Now if you're talking basil, that's another story!...See MoreHi everybody. my name is Ronnie. I need help adding color to my room.
Comments (14)Do not add purple to that room. That would not make any sense. You already have your color palette established. Adding random colors should not be the goal. What you need to do is stick with the palette you already have. Color is not your problem. You need LAYERS. You need to build up that space so it's not so flat and one dimensional. You need an area rug. You need to upgrade the throw pillows. You're trying too hard to match the pillows to that piece of art work. Yes, keep the colors in the same family, but focus more on texture and then add pattern. All solid color pillows are too boring and flat. Then you need to pull that sectional away from the corner. Do not stick furniture in corners, that will never look good. Pull it into the center of the room and reconfigure it so that it is looking at whatever the focal wall is in the space. Without being able to see the entire space, maybe turn the couch so that it is looking at that blank wall that the long part of the couch is backed up onto now for example. in other words, get the couch into the center of the space on a large area rug however that fits best. Then get a console table to put behind the long part of the sectional with a large piece of modern sculpture art on it to go with your modern wall art....See MoreMarlene Kindred
