Fake Flowers

And you won't have to worry about traying and cooling them and how well they're able to keep. You don't have a very large window of time to make them up. I used to do wedding flowers as part of my business and was always up to the last hours before the service finishing them up. It was very, very stressful and since the cuts had to be ordered in, no room for error. I have also had some nasty surprises in very expensive cuts I ordered in from mainline cut flower wholesalers. One time I had to wire together roses petal by petal when I opened the boxes and found them disintegrated upon shipment. You don't want to be an amateur when faced with challenges like that. Weddings are not a good time for surprises! The centerpieces shall be the only flowers your guests would be up front and personal with, so the money is well spent making them fresh. I'll bet nobody will even really know the ones you are carrying aren't. And BTW......good silk hand-tied flowers aren't cheaper than fresh. And they can even be carefully washed! So, even if you had another motive for doing silks (oh gosh don't call them fakes, lol) it's prolly going to turn out better for you in more ways than one in the long run. Good choice. And BTW, being in the flower business as a grower, I am very biased toward fresh as a rule. ;-)...See MoreFake Flowers
Comments (42)I've never purchased a fern from them, but based on everything else I have I believe Artifical Plants & Trees will have top-notch ferns. Seriously, the quality of everything I have from them is superlative, and the customer service is excellent to boot! They've both ready-made arrangements (inc. plants) as well as stems / individual pieces. I purchased two pink protea and a green ginger (all separate pieces), a Vanda and Phalaenopsis orchids (potted, with amazing air roots) and a number of fascinating (individual) succulents (I am a sucker for hens and chicks!) from them, and to a one they are impeccable. I think I'm most taken with the protea. No one believes the succulents aren't real....See MoreDining room..creating space in a small dining room /sitting room area
Comments (3)Without an actual to scale plan of the space there is no way of knowing what will fit and I love the low cabinet with the art BTW. I think you might be able to put a round table in the DR but I need measurements of the spaces I never like fake greenery or flowers and the mirror is really not reflecting anything worth seeing twice...See MoreHow do you all style a dining room table that is NOT in use
Comments (17)I have different looks for different seasons. This summer it was dolphin candle holders and a basket with glass floats in it. Fall I have some candle holders with a fall theme--greenery, pinecones, acorns, etc. and winter is red cardinals and I have a couple of other vases with seasonal flowers. I also always have a fruit bowl. My kitchen is small so that's where I keep my fruit--apples, bananas, pears, oranges, an occasional avocado, etc. I have a cornucopia for Thanksgiving but the vegetables are fake. It's fun though. I have a big china cabinet with closed cupboards on the bottom, that's where I store the stuff off-season....See Morepatty123
