It crossed my mind they might be baby earwigs. They seemed to be to thin and I did not notice unique rear end.

Very earwiggish. They ARE nocturnal. They mostly like moist decaying vegetation and smaller insects but do eat live plants, and leave small ragged holes. They hatch in the spring, and only rarely try to fly.

My previous homestead had earwigs galore and like others have said your pic is a good (bad) match. Homemade traps using olive oil/soybean oil seem to work and easy to google up demo videos on how to trap them.

Thanks! I have find them in my garden I just never saw babies and did not know they come out at night. I will look up the trap. I just learned they bite, never been bitten so I was surprised. I occasionally find groups and hand kill.

Sluggo Plus helps in controlling earwigs (as well as slugs, ants, and pillbugs). It not only has iron phosphate but it also contains spinosad. Spinosad is a broad spectrum pesticide so I wouldn't use it everywhere, just where it is needed.

For an earwig trap, moist, loosely rolled up newspapers provide them a hideout. They crawl in and you can then shake them out of the newpaper over a bucket of soapy water to kill them.
