Anyone with Anna, Golden Dorsett or Einshemer Apples?
Comments (5)I have an Anna and a Golden Dorsett and thought about getting an Einshemer. I just bought the Anna a month ago so I don't even know what it tastes like. I got my first crop off the Golden Dorsett last year but picked them at the wrong time. Either that or they are tart rather than the Sweet/Tart they are described as and I prefer sweet over tart. There are other apples that do well here so I will try to help you though it may not be the way you want. I would hope that the tree or trees you purchase produce fruit you will enjoy. With that in mind I will ask some questions about flavor and include some trees that do well here. Ask yourself what kind of apple flavor do you prefer. Very Sweet Sweet Sweet/Tart Tart/Sweet Tart Very/Tart Complex Flavors Anna is Sweet/Tart. (grows well here) Golden Dorsett is Sweet/Tart to Tart/Sweet.(grows well here) Einshemer is Tart but gets mealy and I don't recommend it. Red Fuji is Very Sweet.(grows well here) Pink Lady is Sweet/Tart.(grows well here) Honeycrisp is Sweet. (grows well here) Arkansas Black is Sweet/Tart (grows well here) Granny Smith is Very/Tart. (grows well here) I'm sure there are lots of others that grow well here too but those are the ones I have read the most about. Multi-grafted trees can be a pain in the butt getting all the varieties to fruit. Do you have limited space or is there some other reason you prefer a multi-grafted tree?...See MoreUpdate on Anna
Comments (15)Good morning. i just spoke with Anna and she said the Pet scan showed a "spot" on her spine that could possibly be from trauma to her spine in the past, which she can't recall having. She has an appointment for an MRI and a bone density test on April 2nd. She will see the oncologist again on April 17th but will start the pill form of chemo now. The way I see it is that she's not quite out of the woods....yet. I so appreciate the care, prayers and support of my "friends on the forum". Thank you so very much. jude...See MoreOrder, order, order...I feel as confused as the Anna Nicole Judge
Comments (3)You should put in writing just what you want and give a copy to your tile guy and a copy to your floor guy. If possible, you should have them meet with you together at your house and go over your list. Then if either has any problems, they can be hashed out. Do this before any work is started. If the painter can go first, that's ok but he may have to paint after the other guys are done. The baseboard and such can be done by the installers and should be on your list. The tile and floor should meet flush and level. Don't let the tile guy tell you the floor guy will take care of that or visa versa. Make sure they are in agreement and sign off on your list....See MoreUpdate on Anna
